UM-D Club Cross Country is a growing student organization which was founded in the spring of 2005 and consists of runners of all levels. Our club members range from casual runners to former high school all-staters. The primary goal of the club is to unite these runners within the UM-D community and to ensure that boredom does not consume those who would otherwise run alone! We provide an easy-going environment for runners of all abilities with plenty of opportunity for competition as well. The only requirement to join is a passion for running!

Cross Country is an entirely student directed club sport at the University of Michigan - Dearborn. There are no coaches, which allows us to promote student leadership through our board of officers.

8/24/2011 - Update - Fall 2011 is almost here which means the XC season will soon be under way! After successful fundraising at MIS this year, we are headed to Ludington, MI on Friday, August 26 for camp! Races and practice times for this year will be updated soon.

12/8/2010 - Michigan Journal - UMDXC will be in this week's issue of the Michigan Journal!! Make sure to check us out. The Journal can be found right inside the fieldhouse or in a few other areas around campus.

11/30/2010 - End of Season Party and Officer Elections - The End of Season Party is almost here. You don't want to miss it since we there will be lots of food, games, and of course team awards. The party is at Erics house and for more info click here.

Also, officer elections will be Monday, 12/16 at the 8:00am practice. If you are intererested in running for a position you need to let Angela know by Sunday, December 5th. If you want to vote you have to be present at the elections.

11/17/2010 - Nationals Results!! - Just this past weekend, UMDxc competed at Bloomington, Indiana for Nationals! The men's team finished 31st in the nation and the women finished 19th. Elle Robinson led the women's team placing 47th with a time of 24:51. The mem's team was led by Matt Neumann placing 260th with a time of 30:43. Full results can be found here

11/3/2010 - Ann Arbor XC Invite results - The results from UMDXC's most recent race are up on the results page. Congratulations to Elle Robinson and Gabby Boyer for medaling in the collegiate girls 5k! Elle took 2nd place with a blistering fast time of 20:40.19. Gabby placed 10th with an equally impressive time of 24:20.16. For the men, Jacob Mack posted the fastest time on the team , finishing in 31:03.91 in the 8k.

10/27/2010 - Ann Arbor XC Invite - UMDXC's next race is less than a week away! If you want to carpool with the team let Angela know and be at the fieldhouse by 8:20am. If you live by Ann Arbor you can just meet the club at the race. Good luck runners!!

10/19/2010 - Nationals!! - NIRCA Nationals are about 3 weeks away. If you are interested in attending, please email Angela by Wednesday, October 27th. You also need to fill out a form to be able to run in the race. Angela will have the form at the Monday and Wednesday practices. If you can't attend those let her know.

10/5/2010 - Big Heart Big House - This past Sunday UMDXC made an appearance at the Big Heart Big House 5k in Ann Arbor. This race goes through downtown Ann Arbor and ends on the 50 yard line of Michigan Stadium! Congratulations to Nik Gherardini, Brian D'Agostini, Eric Stuart, Elle Robinson , Ryan Keeling, and Joshua Matthews for representing our club.

9/29/2010 - Michigan Fall Classic results - Last Sunday UMDXC hosted our home meet and ran against Mrun, Ball State, Michigan State, CMU, Bowling Green, Purdue, and EMU. Congratulations to Elle Robinson for taking 6th place with a time of 20:43. Full results can be found here.

9/15/2010 - Michigan Fall Classic - The race that our team puts on, the Michigan Fall Classic, is coming up. The race is on Sunday, September 26th at Ford Field in Dearborn. Ford Field is on Brady St. near Michigan Ave. Women begin at 11:30am and men begin at 12:15pm. Both men and women will be running a 5k. If you want to run make sure that you contact Angela soon to let her know.
